It all started from a late-night car ride conversation between Doug Smith and Tatsunori Nakamura. While both working in the automotive industry, they came an understanding that there was a gap in the market. This conversation was the birth of a dream, a dream to “Create Something Different”. The two saw a opportunity in the how automotive companies navigated peaks, valleys, and complex challenges. This gap was an opportunity for Goken to be born and thrive.
In 2004, in a modest 900 square foot apartment in Dublin, Ohio Goken was born. More than two decades later, the dream is still burning strong while stretching across oceans and borders.
